Immunizations
The Mt. Diablo Unified School District would like to notify you of a new immunization requirement for students entering the 7th through 12th grade. Students entering these grade levels are now required to receive a booster shot against pertussis (also known as Tdap). Assembly Bill 354, now chaptered into California law, requires students to be immunized against pertussis.
Pertussis is widespread. If your child is 7 years old or older and has not received the 'Tdap' pertussis booster shot, please contact your doctor or health department. Getting a booster show now will protect your child against the ongoing threat of pertussis and meet a new school requirement.
Beginning July 1, 2012, and beyond, all students entering 7th grade will need proof of a Tdap booster shot before starting school.
Proof of Residency
All incoming 6th grade students and new students to the district are required to provide proof of residency.
